Run Your Race: Persistence of Vision

The past two years have changed lives all around the world. When COVID hit, it created a

massive disruption to our daily lives. What we knew as normal began to look different day by day. It was like everything came to a halt at once.

For some, it caused total destruction. It seems to have come to steal, kill and destroy.

Something we know the enemy is described as in scripture (John 10:10) but Jesus came to give life, and give it abundantly. My heart truly goes out to those who have felt ruined by the

destroyer in this time. I know many have felt knocked down, pulled apart, let down and have felt a personal loss.

Though the pandemic is often painted in a dark light, it has shined some light on us. When the busyness of the world stopped it gave people the chance to reframe life and consider what they truly wanted to do with their time on this earth. It brought people to think about their dreams, their priorities and their plans.

There are so many things that have happened in these last two years that could make a person lose faith and give up or not even consider faith at all.

I have personally been affected by Covid to reframe my thoughts and consider my dreams and my future self. One of the things I enjoy thoroughly is learning. I'm nearing the end of my studies with just a few classes left. Yet, I feel the pressure at times to complete it. All I've done this past year has centered around finishing school.

It's A New Season

What really brought me to write about persistence of vision is when I thought about my blog. It reminded me of how many times in life I have felt knocked down from tragedy, low self-esteem, battling with my confidence, even in things that I'm known for, such as singing.

My desire is to reach out to all those who are struggling in different ways during this season

concerning your dreams and visions. I know that life often hands out many causes for

disappointment, but know that sometimes it is simply a comma, a pause in the road, rather than a period.

I was woken up by the Christian Radio recently and it was about perseverance. It struck me. Life isn't all about succeeding on every try, but our greatest characteristics are shaped when we get back up. When we are knocked down and stand up. When we are rejected and allow ourselves to be taught by that experience.

Whether you're in the middle of a building season, whether your life is at the start of recovery or you're staring at broken pieces right now. The Lord is in the making of great testimonies. Those testimonies are never without test, without failure, without faith.

If there is something that He has put in your heart to pursue, friend, I want to encourage you to not give up. Whether there is an area in your life that He has been tugging on you to work on, patience, holiness, forgiveness, joy or the confidence to do what needs to be done. Let Him guide you in it.

The Word of God is our never changing, firm foundation, friend. When everything seems to be moving and uncertain, His Word remains unchanging because He remains faithful. Don't give it, keep going. Choose to be #Unstoppable.

"We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;

persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." - 2 Corinthians 4:8-11
